When Arriving in indonesia
Getting to North Sulawesi
Manado airport, the international gateway to North Sulawesi is called Sam Ratulangi airport (code MDC) and is situated an approximately a 60-minute drive from our resort.
MDC airport is reachable by direct flights from Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, Makassar and Sorong (the gateway to Raja Ampat).
Our recommended route is to use Singapore Airlines (www.singaporeair.com) and its regional carrier SCOOT (www.flyscoot.com) . Currently the schedule for SCOOT is every Wednesday & Friday to Manado. Hopefully by the end of 2022 this frequency will change to 4 flights a week.
Flights arriving from Europe and the USA arrive early enough in Singapore to allow you to connect directly with the SCOOT flight. Singapore Air offers great stopover deals in Singapore if you would like to break up your trip. Check out the link here: https://singaporeair.com/en_UK/special-offers/singapore-stopover-holiday/
The other reliable option is to come via Jakarta. Almost all the major international airlines have direct flights arriving in Jakarta. Garuda and Batik airlines both offer several direct daily flights to Manado. If you need to overnight in Jakarta, there are several good quality airports in the airport grounds. For booking internal Indonesian flights we can recommend using the flight portal www.traveloka.com.
